The PRINTMED-3D project was born with the intention of responding to the growing demand for personalized medical services in the clinical, diagnostic and pre-clinical field, in a context where shrinking economic resources and an ageing population require more efficient and targeted  approaches to ensure the economic sustainability of the system and quality of care.

Thanks to the development of new materials and the use of latest printing technologies, it will be possible to produce anatomical models with mechanical and functional characteristics similar to those of their natural counterparts. The exhibition was conceived as a small museum space where to exhibit and tell about the PRINTMED-3D project, trying to enhance its contents and make them accessible to the public.

Inside the “museum” are articulated environments that provide more sensory experiences able to immerse the viewer in the story of the setting. One of the fundamental themes of the project was organic form, which is a In fact, analyzing it we are discovering how surprisingly the organic matter seen under a microscope is often characterized by angular and accuminate geometric shapes and not only by the more classic curvilinear forms.

Remembering further how forms in nature at various dimensional scale develop according to a wonderful and complex heterogeneous matrix. Project of installation, curating and graphic design.
