The church of the Assumption, belonging to a building undergoing renovation and transformation into bed and breakfast, had no destination. Located in the province of Brescia was deconsecrated in the early 50s and abandoned since 1968. It is a cult building, poor decorations, smaller than the most famous churches in the area, but full of history and spirituality.

It was decided to propose to the client to convert the space of the Church in a particular residence to be rented in the offer of the bed and breakfast. The typological and functional conversion did not involve any alteration of the original surfaces, it was decided to intervene with structures detached from the masonry and flooring. Staying in a deconsecrated church is part of a unique experience, allowing you to enjoy large spaces and unprecedented heights, giving a deep sense of tranquility and inner peace.

The “new” church inside includes a living-dining area, a sleeping area in the former votive chapel, a bathroom-sauna block and a loft living a few meters from the barrel vault. The unique experience of staying in a deconsecrated church allows you to rediscover tranquility and introspection, feelings accentuated by the deep beauty of the surrounding nature.
